Today, we’re excited to release our third annual policy assessment and the word of the year is progress. In 2019, we’ve seen how the 40 largest cities in the United States are making substantial progress in passing, implementing, and strengthening a package of nine policies we know work to create thriving and vibrant communities.
We’ve seen incredible gains this year with 30 out of the 40 cities we rate earning medals and 10 cities—Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, San Antonio, San Francisco, Seattle, and Tucson—improving their medal status from 2018. Thanks to this year’s 35 new policy advances, this progress is helping more than 22 million people live their healthiest possible life.
