Webinar: Legal Support for Renters

Evictions are a source of homelessness and housing instability, affecting physical safety and health, decreasing healthcare access, and increasing poor health outcomes.

In this webinar produced in partnership with the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel (NCCRC), learn how Legal Support for Renters policies (also called a “right to counsel”) can help mitigate eviction harms, protect housing rights, and close health disparities. By addressing the representation gap, Legal Support for Renters policies help people at risk of eviction remain safe in their homes and avoid homelessness, keep their records free from evictions, and reduce rent debt. Legal support for renters policies can also be a cost-savings measure for jurisdictions by decreasing the substantial social support costs of eviction.
